Donations

AFK provides refugees and victims of torture and war with medical, psychotherapeutic and welfare advice, treatment and support.

AFK also offers these severely traumatized people and their families practical support, so that they can be integrated into the society in which they have taken refuge, e.g. by arranging German courses or assistance in finding employment. Such support is not possible without the active linguistic and cultural support of interpreters.

Treatment and support is often intensive and is usually long-term. Only part of the cost is assumed by health insurers or welfare agencies.

so that refugees and victims of torture and war can return to a humane way of living where they are in control of their own lives.
