Verein Appartenances promotes the welfare of migrants in the Canton of Vaud. Since it was established around 15 years ago, it has run a psychotherapeutic advisory centre for migrants (CPM), which dedicates itself primarily to victims of torture and war. In January 2004, Appartenances joined the other outpatient clinics, subsidized by the Swiss Red Cross, under the name of CTG (Consultation pour victimes de torture et de guerre), Lausanne. The CPM offers consultations in Lausanne, Vevey and Yverdon, where around 30 therapists (psychologists, psychiatrists and physiotherapists) work under the direction of a psychiatrist. A board, consisting of the management and administration of Appartenances, the consultant and three representatives of the therapists, is responsible for organization and management.
